ROAD  DIRECTIONS  TO  RAND  AIRPORT

From  Johannesburg city  area  on  M2 East  and  then  N3 South:
Drive on M2 East towards Germiston until Geldenhuis interchange
       Then take N3 South to Durban – sharp left hand bend
Then continue as from 3. below

From  Pretoria  area on  N1 South  and  then  N3 South:

1. Drive straight through Gillooly’s interchange on N3 South to DURBAN
2. Continue on N3 South up the Bedfordview hill

KEEP RIGHT on N3 South through Geldenhuis interchange to DURBAN

1. Then KEEP completely LEFT  - past PPC cement factory on right and take next off-ramp 1,5 km further RAND AIRPORT [Exit 106]
2. At robot T-junction TURN LEFT  onto Rand Airport Road
3. Continue past next robot – you should see BOEING 747 ahead on horizon
4. Road passes under railway and later curves sharply left - airport is visible on right
5. TURN RIGHT at next robot T-junction and keep right - still Rand Airport Road
6. Long curve to right – DO NOT turn in at first airport entrance – gates are locked
7. Drive around sharp left bend and then 50 m further
   TURN RIGHT - partly around low kerb circle with palm tree – stop at STOP sign
8. Then proceed straight ahead towards airport entrance at
   security check point, behind large display board

From JNB INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT on R24 West  and Witbank on N12 West:
VIA LEFT onto N3 South to DURBAN
Then same as from 2. above

From West and South West on N12 East:
TURN LEFT at Reading interchange onto R59 North and then as follows:

From Vereeniging on R59 North:
At end of freeway TURN RIGHT at robot T-junction
onto South Rand Road (M38). Proceed about 5 km
South Rand Road later becomes Rand Airport Road (M46)
Then same as from 5. above

From South on N3 North:
Take GREY AVENUE off-ramp [Exit 101]
TURN RIGHT to cross above freeway
Drive about 1,5 km along Grey Ave (M94) to second robot from freeway
TURN LEFT into Black Reef Road (M37) - this later becomes Wits Rifles Drive
      * Continue as per last par. below

From  East  on  N17 West:
Travel past Wadeville  and take
RAND AIRPORT off-ramp – just before toll gate [Exit 127]
At robot T-junction TURN RIGHT into Wits Rifles Drive (M37)
   * Pass under freeway and keep left very carefully in correct lane
Proceed and pass SASOL filling station on right to fourth robot
(Burgerland Roadhouse and shops on right corner)
At robot TURN LEFT via slipway into Rand Airport Road (M48)
Continue past buildings on left to circle and then as per 10. above
